Tuesdays Bolg

To day I learned why I couldn't access my Web-site. It was because I was using the wrong Web address. I guess thats why I'm taking this class. It really has helped me, I can at least get around to different places on the computer now. My wife has got us on facebook now and I am trying to look at it every night. She has started what I call the farm game,on facebook. Im sure most of you know what that is, Im just learning. It looks like fun. All my kids have farms if they work as hard in real life as they do at the farm game they should be quite successful in real jobs.
Im not very good at this blogging, I've already run out of things to say.
So I guess I'll keep working at getting to know my way around the computer better.

What are some ways to use the mouse?

Moving the mouse (pointer) onto a certain icon then left click to open a screen. Right click gives you a menu of options of different commands



How do I get started with Windows Desktop?

Use mouse and click start button on task bar, this will show some or all progams available. Then double click on icon to open program you want to use.



How do I manage Windows?

In Windows you can open several different progams at once. In the upper righthand corner you can left click to maximize, minimize, or restore a program to look at another without having to close the one you are looking at or have to close it.



How do I use the scroll bar?

There are scroll bars for horizontal and vertical use. The horizontal scroll bar (located at the bottom of screen,) lets you move left or right in order to read or view contents. The vertical scroll bar (located on the right side of screen) is used in the same principal.



How do I use a dialog box?

A dialog box is a window that opens when you choose a menu command, that is followed by an ellipsis (...). This means you need to supply more information so that the program can carry out the command you selected. In a dialog box you can specify options you want to be carried out.
